Scandinavian Biogas is the first company to list shares that have received a 100 per cent `Dark Green Shading' from Cicero, the leading provider of independent environmental assessments of corporations.
Scandinavian Biogas is a leading producer of biogas in the Nordics. The company sells renewable energy based on compressed biogas and liquid biogas. Today, Scandinavian Biotech was listed on Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market. ABG Sundal Collier ("ABGSC") acted as Sole Global Coordinator and Sole Bookrunner in connection with the listing.
"ABGSC has issued several green bonds before, but no one has ever listed shares with Dark Green Shading in any marketplace. This was the first, but I am certain it will not be the last. Scandinavian Biogas is sending a clear signal to the industry that green financing is no longer only suited to the debt market but also to the equity market. Investors are increasingly searching for green investments since they reduce risk. To invest in a green share is a safe bet to increase the ESG tilt in a portfolio", says ABGSC CEO Jonas Ström.
Cicero is a leading provider of independent research-based evaluations that are often used for green bond investments, to determine their environmental robustness. Recently, Cicero's methodology has also been used to evaluate shares. Scandinavian Biogas is the first company to receive a 100 per cent Dark Green Shading, the highest possible rating from Cicero, on its revenue streams and investments.
"Scandinavian Biogas operates a truly renewable business. The listing on the Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market will enable a broader ownership base and access to the capital market. I am certain that the Dark Green Shading from Cicero contributed to the strong interest from investors in connection with the successful listing", says Göran Persson, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Scandinavian Biogas.
In connection with the listing, Scandinavian Biogas completed a SEK 586m Private Placement. Länsförsäkringar, Skandia Fonder and Handelsbanken Fonder acted as cornerstone investors in the Private Placement.
